Jeremy Hazel
Jeremy is a Quality Engineer with Michigan based NSK Americas, a premier producer of ball bearings and steering systems. Jeremy works with multiple plants to strengthen their QMS efforts and maintain their ISO/ TS certification, as well as provide external audit support to their own internal audit programs. In his role Jeremy is responsible for the development of multiple sites in the areas of quality and ISO compliance, and also works to actively improve the skill set of each plant through strengthening their systems. In addition to the systems activity the other areas of involvement include the creation of a performance based supplier rating system for use at the corporate level as well as deployment of SPC in the manufacturing facilities as well as educating the plants on other core tools required within the automotive industry.
Prior to his current position he was with Takata Holdings. TK Holdings, Inc. manufactures and supplies automotive safety restraints including seat belts in the United States. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan. TK Holdings, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Takata Corporation. While at Takata, Jeremy was a plant quality engineer, supplier quality engineer and systems specialist where he guided them to their first perfect audit, and also gained a lead auditor certificate in ISO 9000/ TS16949 from Plexus. Jeremy has an MBA from Upper Iowa University with specialization in quality management, and is currently pursuing his PhD in quality sciences. In addition he is an active ASQ member holding a CMI, CQT, CQE, CQA and most recently a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Jeremy is part of Creative Synergy Solutions Incorporated, a Quality Management firm.
Lynn Monkelien
Lynn Monkelien is Senior Director of Enterprise Learning at the Apollo Group, a leading provider of higher education programs for working adults, and President of Nevis Inc, a service provider in the education management industry. Prior to her current positions, Lynn was Vice President of Learning and Talent Development at Avnet Inc., an SSQ client, for nearly three years. Avnet is one of the world’s largest industrial distributors of electronic parts, enterprise computing and storage products and embedded subsystems, creating a vital link in the technology supply chain.
Prior to that, Lynn was the Director for Curriculum Development & Management for Six Sigma Qualtec for close to seven and a half years. During her time with Six Sigma Qualtec, Lynn was responsible for the development and management of SSQ’s curriculum, a prime company asset, as well as delivering the highest quality customized learning materials in the fastest possible time to clients.
Previously, Lynn worked at Motorola University.
Lynn has a PhD in Learning & Instructional Technology and a Masters in Education from Arizona State University, as well as, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Computer Sciences from the University of Glasgow.
Vianey Sims
Vianey Sims is a Lean Six Sigma Global Practice Leader with HP Enterprise Services. She is also a Lean Six Sigma Engagement Manager for EDS. At EDS, she is responsible for driving Lean Six Sigma efforts to meet process improvement targets while fostering the Lean Six Sigma culture change throughout the organization as well as being a project leader in solving specific key projects to improve quality, reduce cost and improve cycle time. Prior to working with HP and EDS, she has been a Lean Six Sigma consultant for a number of consultancies including Six Sigma Qualtec.
Vianey holds a Masters in Organizational Development from Universidad de Tepeyac, A. C. and a Bachelors of Science from Instituto Poletecnico Nacional which are both in Mexico.
